Data processed during a paid consulting or vCISO engagement is governed by the data processing terms of the relevant engagement agreement.

Legal bases

Processing is supported by contract necessity, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, consent where required for optional cookies and embedded forms, and legal obligations.

Recipients and processors

SecretChip uses authorized service providers under contract to operate parts of the service. Examples include Tally for contact form delivery and infrastructure providers that host the website and the resolver. Personal data may be disclosed to regulators where required by law.

AEGIS PDNS resolver data

DNS queries sent to the AEGIS PDNS resolver are processed by SecretChip infrastructure. Resolver operation may involve technical logs that include:

• Source IP address.
• Timestamp.
• Queried domain.
• Query type.
• Resolver endpoint used (filtered or open).
• Policy decision (allowed, blocked, or observed).
• Response code.
• Security and abuse metadata associated with the request.

Resolver logs are used for service operation, abuse prevention, debugging, security monitoring, and improving filtering quality. SecretChip does not sell DNS query data. Filtering decisions are best-effort and may produce false positives or false negatives; users can report these and submit privacy questions through the contact page.

International transfers

Where international transfers occur, SecretChip relies on safeguards permitted under applicable data protection law, including standard contractual clauses where appropriate.

Retention

Logs and personal data are retained only for as long as necessary for service operation, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and legal obligations. Older records are deleted or anonymized.
